Get involved as an Individual
One in twelve of us will become blind or partially sighted by the time we are 60. This figure rises to one in six by the time we reach 75.
There are a number of ways you could help us support blind and partially sighted people.
Could you take part in a fundraising event?
Choose from an range of organised running events taking place throughout the year or organise your own and we will provide you with all the support materials you need.

Could you support us as you shop?
You can support Action for Blind People as you shop. It doesn't cost you anything extra and we receive a % or a donation every time you make a purchase. You can choose from brands such as Marks and Spencer, Amazon, Blackwell's Books, Oddbins and many more.
Could you become a Volunteer?
We rely on our volunteers' effort and enthusiasm, from getting involved in service user research groups to helping out in our offices.
Could you volunteer your time?
Could you work for us?
We often have exciting opportunities to join our award winning teams. Have a look to see if there are any current vacancies.
Could you get involved in our Service User participation groups?
Service User Participation means listening to our service users and getting their opinions to inform and influence the way we design and deliver our services. We are currently working with visually impaired people to consult them about the services they want, rather than what we think they may need.

£8 Life changing activities
£8 a month could send a blind or partially sighted child to one of our Actionnaires clubs for a month! Our Actionnaires clubs allow children to take part in a range of sports and can have a life changing effect on their confidence and self-esteem.
Skydive for Action!
We’re recruiting brave individuals to jump out of a fully functioning plane. Ok, so you also get a parachute and will be strapped to your British Parachute Association approved instructor, but will that stop your heart from racing?
Celebrate with Action
Instead of presents for your birthday, an anniversary or wedding, you may like to ask your friends and family to give a gift to Action for Blind People instead.
